You Can Live Your Life "Outside the Box"

Life is more fun “outside the box.” Society might pressure you to feel like you should be doing certain things a certain way on a certain timeline, but you can do what is right for you and brings you peace and happiness even if not everyone understands it. It’s a good thing to question why we do things a certain way or why we feel like we need to do what we think is expected of us. And if you ask yourself why and it’s because you want to, then that’s great.
The possibilities for your life can really open up when you start to “unlearn” certain things. I think more people should question why we do things a specific way just because we’ve always done it that way. We don’t have to just accept that something is the way it is, we can start striving for change. The hard part can be going against what your family, culture or society expects for your life. No one else lives and experiences your life day to day other than you, so why live your life for someone else? The important people in your life should want you to be happy.
Questions to consider:
1. Why do I want to buy this?
2. Do I want children?
3. Do I want to get married?
4. Is this job worth my mental health, stress, energy?
5. What do I value most in my life?
6. Am I making myself smaller for others?
