Movement & Mindfulness
DANCE

Sara has an extensive background as a dance educator and enjoys sharing the wellness benefits of dancing with others.
Dance can be used as a means of creative expression, communication, and emotional release. Therapeutic Dance allows you to connect with your body and explore how your personal experiences shape your movement. This offering incorporates dynamic dance, improvisation, guided imagery, and somatic awareness. Take time to embrace your body’s natural need for movement to enhance your overall health and wellness.

Therapeutic Dance is for everyone! You don't need previous dance experience, just an open mind and willingness to try something new. Think of it as finding movement that feels good in your body. This form of dance is focused on wellness, not performance.

MEDITATION

Mentally Here offers in person, virtual, and custom recorded guided meditations. Mindfulness practices and meditations can help to regulate your nervous system by focusing on breath and the present moment. Meditation can help you feel more calm and may improve concentration and self-awareness.

Visit the Mentally Here YouTube channel for a FREE Guided Meditation centered around Self-Compassion.
YOGA

Sara is certified in restorative yoga and yin yoga, offering yoga classes for groups of all sizes.
Restorative yoga is a gentle form of yoga incorporating deep relaxation and mindfulness. Restorative yoga is a practice that helps the body integrate and heal. The goal is not stretching or strengthening muscles but instead activating the body's natural resources to regulate and find balance. This practice is good for the body, mind, and soul.

Yin Yoga provides balance to a more active lifestyle and activities. Postures are held for minutes at a time with a focus on stillness rather than continuous movement. Yin Yoga targets your deep connective tissue and joints.

Benefits of Yin Yoga:
-
Improves joint health and range of motion in joints
-
Improves the health and elasticity of our tissues
-
Balances yin and yang energies within our bodies
-
